A juicy way toward your spring renewal

English Foodies

“Juicing isn’t about losing weight, it’s about cleansing the system,” explained Joanna Barcessat, owner and founder of Rejuice! Nutrition, to a customer who had walked into the Artemano boutique on Saint-Laurent Boulevard last week for an exclusive tasting of cold-pressed juices and smoothies made with organic vegetables and fruits.  She couldn’t have said it better. With spring in full-swing, what better time than now to introduce Artemano’s clientele to this local beverage brand, which contains no dairy, no gluten and no processed sugars and which offers its customers juices that yield five times more enzymes, vitamins and minerals than most conventional juices.

After all, isn’t spring the season for renewal? And just like us, Rejuice! Nutrition believes in the power of resetting and recharging.

Cold-pressed Juices

Barcessat showcased and offered both Artemano staff and clientele a multitude of flavours to sample. These included, my favourite, the Power (Romaine Lettuce, Celery, Cucumber, Spinach, Kale, Parsley, Apple, Lemon and Ginger), the Vitality (Beets, Carrot, Celery, Apple, Lemon and Ginger), the Mango Blast smoothie (Mango, Pineapple, Kiwi, Kale), the Spicy Citrus (Water, Lemon, Ginger, Cayenna Pepper, Tumeric and Raw Honey) and the Green Smoothie (see recipe at the end of the blog) amongst many others.

Juice Tasting

With all of these juice flavours available for the taking, customers were definitely curious and eager to try them. And their taste buds weren’t disappointed.  Some asked for seconds, while others wanted to try out more than one flavour. The juices do taste good because “they are fresh and combine the right amount of vegetables and fruits, using lemon and ginger to enhance the taste in some of their recipes,” explained Barcessat.

Joanna Barcessat, Founder and Owner of Rejuice! Nutrition

Rejuice! Nutrition offers customers three to five day cleanses. As explained by Barcessat, these cleanses aren’t for the purpose of dieting. They’re aimed to stir us away from eating foods that we are inclined to eat; foods that are high in sugar, carbs and protein, that clog our systems and make us sluggish.  “A cleanse will give the body a break, detoxify and re-energize it,” said Barcessat, “because, your body is absorbing the maximum amounts of vitamins, minerals and nutrients, and it doesn’t have to do the work of breaking these down, as it usually does.”

For Rejuice! Nutrition, which will open up a stand-alone store front shortly, partnering up with Artemano was a natural step.  Barcessat highlighted, ““Rejuice! is a lifestyle brand, which incorporates a sense of health, of wellness, of environmental awareness, and of a stylish lifestyle. Artemano fits all of these categories as a brand that centers on natural, organic elements and forward-thinking design.”

Artmena’s staff enjoyed having Rejuice! Nutrition as a guest in our Montreal boutique. The beverage brand shares and promotes the same philosophy: a healthy body plays a vital role in a well-balance life and a state of well-being.
